Turning the Front Beam

No self-respecting off-road car would ride low in the front... so, here's how I raised it up.  This gives the Adventure Bug more ground clearance so it can absorb the awesome jumps and bumps.









Cut through the beam - but make sure to make alignment marks so you can measure how much to turn. Most people over at class11coalition.com recommend turning the beam 9/16 of an inch.

Use a piece of angle iron and hose clamps to get hold the cut-out piece in place.

Note: Only do one tube at a time - so your beam stays straight!





You can see the alignment marks above...

Measure 9/16 of an inch (making sure to rotate the correct direction)


Then repeat on the other tube...
